SUMMER TRAINING

Over the last few summers, we have been fortunate that the newest members have either remained in the Boston area for much of the break or been able to routinely visit. This has allowed us to spend some time doing remedial training on the skills learned in Candidate Term, as well as to learn a host of other skills which will be useful when operating as B-12 cadre.

Our training has focused on ensuring solid competence at existing skills and then developing the scheduling, operational planning, communications, administrative, and technical skills necessary for the successful execution of Candidate Term during the upcoming academic year. We hope to welcome some more new members in the Fall.

Radio Communications Training
B-12 uses radio communications for accountability, safety, and operational coordination during most of its training operations, so members have to learn how to set up supporting radio stations and networks.
