Although B-12 is focused more on the intellectual, mental, and emotional development of future leaders, technical skills certainly have their place in our training as well. Marksmanship is a basic military skill, but it’s hard to develop and it’s perishable, so B-12 periodically travels with alumni to a shooting range in order to try to keep its members and candidates as familiar as possible with firearm handling.
Our most recent such event took place at the Pelham Fish & Game Club in Pelham, NH. B-12 Alumni sponsored the event for the purpose of enabling the Company to go on an outing which was both fun and relevant to its purpose, and of increasing the bonds between the current members and the alumni.
Upon arrival at the club, the members and candidates attended a briefing on the safe operation of each weapon. They then moved out to the range to conduct live fire under the supervision of the range instructors.
B-12 would like to thank the B-12 Alumni Association for making this event possible. (See pictures below.)
