Congratulations to P/R CPTs (Ret.) Brenda Lin & Tyler Wojtasinski!
Congratulations to P/R CPTs (Ret.) Brenda Lin and Tyler Wojtasinski of the 119th Pledge Class, who both commissioned today as 2LTs in the US Army. 2LT Lin will serve as a Military Intelligence officer and 2LT Wojtasinski will serve as an Infantry officer. Both were commissioned as Distinguished Military Graduates, an honor which only the top 20% of cadets nationwide are awarded.
In addition to serving as our commander, 2LT Lin served as the company First Sergeant, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer at various times throughout her service in B-12. She also had the opportunity to plan and oversee several of our major training operations and to act as a Team Leader as part of the company’s efforts to mentor and develop younger members.
As an ROTC cadet at Boston University, 2LT Lin attended the Army’s Air Assault school, as well as Cadet Troop Leader Training with an EOD unit. During her MSIV year, she served as the Cadet Battalion Operations Officer.
2LT Wojtasinski also served as our commander, in addition to having served as a Team Leader and as the company Drill Sergeant and First Sergeant. He also served as the officer-in-charge of some of our major training operations, and was heavily involved in the development and refinement of our Member Training program.
As an ROTC cadet at Boston University, 2LT Wojtasinski attended Cadet Troop Leader Training before serving as the Cadet Battalion Command Sergeant Major as an MSIV. He also participated in the planning of the major field exercise for the entire Brigade this Spring.
Both 2LTs Lin and Wojtasinski have served the company well over the last three years, and have contributed to the development of the increasingly high standards of B-12. We wish them the very best in their careers and hope they will come back soon to share what they have learned and experienced.
